The Future of Electronics: Exploring the Unique Properties of Liquid Metals Part 1

 1. Mercury :

Mercury is a chemical element with the symbol Hg. The periodic table number of mercury is 80. Mercury is one of the least found liquid metal. It can be found in small amount in other metal ores like Gold, Silver. Mercury has been restricted in some of the countries due to its toxic nature.

Mercury is a good conductor of heat and electricity. Mercury has special property of expansion and Contraction to the heat. Thus it is widely used in the thermometer. The mercury should be handled at most caution in disposing them to prevent environmental pollution. Mercury is used in various fields like Dental, In production of some vaccines.

2. Gallium :

Gallium is a chemical element with the symbol of Ga. The periodic table number of Gallium is 31. Gallium is mostly found in the earth's crust in high quantity. Even though it cam be found in aluminum, Zinc, and in other metals in small quantities.

Gallium is a also a good conductor of electricity. Gallium is one of the fewest liquid metals that has the melting point above the room temperature. That is Gallium has a low melting point and high melting point liquid metal which makes it to be used in electronics products as alloys. It is resistant to corrosion. Gallium is used as a medicine to nuclear treatment and used in the production of LED and Mirror.

3. Cesium :

Cesium is a chemical element with the symbol of Cs. The periodic table number of cesium is 55. Cesium is a highly reactive metal. Cesium is a very rare metal. It is rarely found even in the Earth's Crust. It can be found in other mineral like pollucite and lepidolite.

Cesium is one of the alkali metals in the periodic table. Cesium is also having a low melting point and high boiling point. Cesium is used in Ignition Systems. Cesium is used in the atomic clocks. Atomic clocks are used for the timekeeping standards around the World. Cesium is also certain medical properties to provide treatment to the Nuclear related fields.

4. Francium :

Francium is a chemical element with the symbol of Fr. The periodic table number of Francium is 87. Francium is one of the dangerous metals because of it's unstability. Francium is one of the extremely rare metal found even in the earth's crust.

Francium is the heaviest of all alkaline metals. It is highly radioactive. It decays faster than the other elements. Francium decays in less that 22 Minutes. Since it decays faster scientist don't have any uses to Francium. It is highly reactive too.

5. Rubidium :

Rubidium is a chemical element with the symbol of Rb. The periodic table number of Rubidium is 37. Rubidium is soft. It has a color of Silvery White. Rubidium is also highly reactive. It is also one of the alkali metal.

Rubidium is highly found in the earth's crust but not in the purest form. It is found in Lithium and potassium and other metals in small quantities. Rubidium is also having a low melting point and a high boiling point. Rubidium is used in making of certain alloys and used in the production of some medical isotope.
