Tourism's impact on popular sites: A call for preservation Part 1

1. Taj Mahal :




                                  Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world. This place is located in India, Agra. This place is also known as the crown of the palace. This is built by shah Jahan. This place is built in the bank of Yamuna River. Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his late wife Mumtaj to show his love.

                           There are various problems like overloading the marble with the huge amount of visitors. Thus leads to cracks in the marble structure that is being built and people touching the architecture that is built. 

2. Mount Everest :

 


                             Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the earth that is above the sea level. Mount Everest is located in the Nepal and China Border The Mount Everest attracts the tourists overtime for trekkers and for those who want to face difficult challenges. 

                       There are various mountains base camps that are being set in the way to reach the top of the mountain. But the problem is the tourists are throwing the plastic in the way to reach the mountain. Due to the height it is difficult to Clear the Mount Everest.  In 2019 nearly 24000 Pounds of plastic is being removed. But still the root cause for the problem exist.

3. Venice :

                


                       Venice is one of the place which has been Separated by canals and connected by over 400 bridges. Venice is located in Italy. It is the capital of the Veneto Region. This place is an Island. This place has a high with the architectures and artwork. This place is one of a beauty in Italy. The residents of the Venice had complained about the pollution of the city by the tourists.
                      
                      Due to pollution the Venice is starting to lose its architecture ad artwork beauty. Due to that the Government has imposed a strict rules in the Venice that the damaging trees and buildings , leaving plastics and littering in the Venice is being considered as one of the offences. There is some saying that they are allowing Limited hotel rooms. 

4. Phi Phi Island :

                   

                     Phi phi Island is a large island group that is located in the Thailand. This Island is surrounded by Limestones which gives it more beauty. This Island is the largest and most populated Island. The Island beaches is quite high.

                     The increasing amount of tourists have started to damage the ecosystem of the Phi Phi Island. The ship that is polluting the region with oil that affects a ecosystem damage. This is having a adverse change beauty of the place. This place had a visitors of 5000 people per day. So the government closed the Island to tourists to repair the fragile ecosystem. 

5. Angkor Wat :

              


                     Angkor wat temple is a complicated temple that is located in Cambodia. This place is the largest religious monument in the world.  This temple is belongs to Khemar Empire. This temple is represents a sector of Hinduism. The temple is mostly admired by the architecture of the temple. 

                     This place started to being its threat in 1990 when the government allowed the tourism in that temple. Due to the increasing number of visitors to the place a pressure on the water had been started. The locals had started to drain more water from the place. So that place has started to sink out of water. So the government is taking initiatives to prevent that and insisting the locals to protect the temple one of the cultural heritage.
