Tourism's impact on popular sites: A call for preservation Part 3

 1. The Dead Sea :



                                              The dead sea lake is located between the Jordan and Israel. It is located in the lowest point on Earth. This place is extremely buoyant and rich in the Minerals. It is considered as one of the saltiest water bodies in the world. This place is having one of the most tourist visiting places. This Dead sea has many health improving properties as well as Historical and Religious Significance.

                                         This Dead sea is one being affected by the human activities such as Water diversion, Mineral Extraction. This place is heavily depleted due to the water diversion for Irrigation. The extraction of minerals is affecting the surrounding eco system in a Drastic Way by altering the Chemical Composition in the Water. The Governments is taking initiatives by constructing the pipeline to transport the Water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea.

2. The Great Wall of China :

  

                                                          The Great Wall of China is series of fortifications built along the Northen Borders of China. This Great Wall of China is built to protect the Chinese Empire from being attacked at any and all costs. It is considered as one of the seven Wonders of the world of the Medieval World. The Great wall of China is the longest wall in the World extending for over 13000 miles [21000 KM]. This has been build over 2000 Years Ago. 

                                                             The Great Wall of China has been affected by the Humans Activities like over tourism, Erosion and Looting. Due to the Over tourism the wall is starting to get weakened. The Government of China is taking various precautionary measures like restoring the Wall and Limiting the number of visitors allowed. 

3. The Blue Lagoon :



                                The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in Iceland. It is known for its unique bright blue water, which is rich in minerals and is believed to have healing properties. The Blue Lagoon is rich in Silica and other minerals and it makes the water it's distinctive blue color. The spa also features a variety of amenities, including saunas, steam rooms, and massage treatments.

                                          This place is one of the most popular Tourist places around the World. Due to the Overuse and pollution made in the Blue Lagoon it has been affected. The Government has been taking many precautionary measures like Limiting the number of visitors, maintenance and preservation. The Government is taking various precautionary measures to protect the ecosystem around the Blue Lagoon. So the Future Generation can use it and enjoy it.

4. The Colosseum :

         

                                The Colosseum is a giant amphitheater located in Rome, Italy. It was built in the 1st century AD by the Emperor Vespasian as a place for the people of Rome to enjoy. Measuring some 620 by 513 feet (190 by 155 meters), the Colosseum was the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire.

                                          The Colosseum was used for a variety of entertainment events, including gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, and mock sea battles. It could seat around 50,000 to 80,000 spectators. This place has became affected by the Human activities like over tourism, pollution and Looting. The Italian Government is taking precaution by limiting the number of visitors allowed, restoring and preserving the Colosseum.

5. Yellowstone National Park :



                                           Yellowstone National Park is a natural wonderland in the United States, located mostly in Wyoming, with small sections in Montana and Idaho. Established in 1872, it was the world’s first national park. It is home to some of the planet’s most stunning geothermal features, including Old Faithful Geyser, the Grand Prismatic Spring, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and Mount Washburn. 

                                         Yellowstone is also home to diverse wildlife, including wolves, grizzly bears, bison, elk, and numerous species of birds. People often do illegal activities like Hunting, Fishing and Camping in prohibited areas. The Government has initiatives like limiting the Number of Visitors at a time. Even Law Enforcement are there to make sure the visitors Safe. This Yellowstone plays a vital role in the USA's Environment.
